International Underwater Photography Cup 2010
When Marino Brzac invited us in December to join in the establishment of international stage and competition in underwater photography, also with Croats, Slovenes and Italians, we were more than honored.
Renewing old and getting some new friendships after so many years, sounded extremely interesting and compelling..

And so the whole story began....
Odličan debi podvodnih fotografa ronilačkog kluba S.D.T. Svet RonjenjaIUPC 2010 na Adi Ciganliji je praktično bio prvo međunarodno takmičenje ovoga ranga na kojem su učestvovali takmičari iz našeg kluba. Za S.D.T. Svet Ronjenja su nastupili Marijana Protić, Biljana Bajić, Zorica Kerkez, Ivana Orlović Kranjc i Nemanja Smičiklas. Iako je medalje osvojila samo Ivana Orlović Kranjc, ovaj nastup je bio dragoceno iskustvo i za sve ostale. Veoma su bili bitni i poeni koje je osvojila Zorica Kerkez, jer je na taj način doprinela klupskom plasmanu na visoko drugo mesto (odmah iza iskusne ekipe DRM Ljubljana, a ispred KPA Rovinj). Da Marijana Protić nije imala maler sa svojom karticom u fotoaparatu (oštećeni fajlovi) sigurni smo da bi u ekipnom plasmanu bilo vrlo tesno. Ali, to je sport i pred nama su nova takmičenja i novi izazovi. Poeni koje je osvojila Ivana Orlović Kranjc prvim mestom u kategoriji kompaktnih digitalnih fotoaparat su veoma važni za nastavak International Underwater Photography Cup-a. Ekipa fotografa S.D.T. Svet Ronjenja se sada priprema za nastavak ovog takmičenja, na etapi u Rovinju od 4. do 6. juna ove godine. Plasman - ResultsCOMPACT - AMBIENT

Of course, I have to mention the most important people the World of Divinf stuff , so this time they are mentioned at the start of the report because they are the very beginning of everything.

he guests from Slovenia, Italy and Croatia arrived in waves on Friday and as real fans of underwater photography they didn’t go so tired from the trip to fit into their apartment, they headed in the direction of Ada on a test dive.
Saturday May 22
Our club’s Staff started in the early morning hours (read o5: 00h)... We gathered at the Ada lake at 6:30 and everybody get on their tasks. setting up sound system, canopy and table sets, tent wings for the equipment , hanging schedule, road signs ....
And then the competitiors started to arrive It began with the registration, assignment of T-shirts, lunch packages ...
Guests are comfortably placed and we waited for the competition to begin. During the briefing, Janez welcomed everyone, mentioned the rules and logistics of the local waters in which the competitors are going to dive.

And then it all began ....
As a true hosts, the people of Serbia have agreed to give a slight edge in time of entering into the water, to our guests from other countries.
Some were thrilled and could hardly wait to see their artwork on a laptop. Some dive twice, some three times...
Visibility that day was a solid 5, 6 meters, but the water because of bad weather over the past week fell from 21 to 17 degrees!
When we finished our dives we surrendered the memory cards to the guys on the official desk Draganel and Spale.
Selecting photos to lecture the jury. I must admit that it is not easy to pick just three pictures, only one from the category of fish, macro and environment, but we made the desition also with the help of our people from the club ....
When we finished handing the elected photos, we went to lunch at the Red Shoes, where a look at the food I helped us to forget for a moment a tension and impatience during the competition, and we were a bit relax ....
We spent the afternoon enjoying the sun beside the lake, exchanging experiences with colleagues who have long been competing in various countries ..
At exactly 6 pm jury began its work... At 8 30 pm judging is completed according to plan, we controled the results, the addition of points, diploma printing... And then came the moment that we were all been waitin for!
We were greeted by President of Sopas Božana Ostojic and Marino Brzac who established the Cup. During the announcement of the winners, the competitors were able to monitor the works on awarded. Medals and cups were followed by the applauses. Colleagues supported each other as the competition added a real nice emotion of friendship even though they are colleagues from different countries. The contest was officially ended and the team agreed to continue the celebration at one of the rafts in Belgrade ....
Svet Ronjenja Team by the end stayed with their instructors and have helped to restore all the logistics in place, carry equipment, ...
I would like to take this opportunity to invite all members of the board, and our club to join us in Pancevo pool on Monday at 22h on a small but deserved celebrations .....
